Abstrak
Penelitian ini menggali pendekatan Kompas.com dalam menyeimbangkan kebebasan pers di Indonesia dalam kendali pemerintah. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan komponen analisis framing dari Robert N. Entman, sebanyak 237 berita pada portal Kompas.com dikaji dan ditemukan polanya. Analisis framing Robert N. Entman digunakan untuk memahami bagaimana Kompas.com memberikan pemahaman kepada pembaca tentang PSBB dan bagaimana mereka menyajikan solusi terkait isu ini. Pembingkaian menyoroti Pemerintah sebagai sumber berita utama (83,05%) atau sebanyak 197 berita, sedangkan LSM (1, 265%), ahli (7,59%), dan komunitas masyarakat (8,01%) disajikan untuk mengangkat perspektif yang berbeda secara terbatas. Kompas.com cenderung memberikan pembingkaian yang positif dan menjaga keseimbangan antara memberikan informasi yang akurat, mendukung kebijakan pemerintah, dan menghindari konflik. Kebebasan pers yang dijalankan dengan pertimbangan faktor politik dan sosial merupakan cerminan kompleksitas hubungan antara media dan pemerintah di Indonesia.
